Bessie Violet Oldford March 27, 1928 - August 31, 2021

With broken hearts, the family of Bessie Violet Oldford announce her peaceful passing, surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday, August 31, 2021 at Dr. G B Cross Memorial Hospital, Clarenville at the age of 93 years. She is predeceased by her husband Fred; sons Tom (Ann) and Wilf; grandson Derrick, daughter-in-law Millicent; parents James and Emmie Russell; brothers Edward, Sam, Raymond, Herman and Thomas and sister Emily. Left with fond and loving memories her children Beulah (Randy), Lloyd and Linda (Todd); daughter-in-law Hazel; grandchildren Jim (Patty), Bruce (Roxanne) and Nicole (Adam); great grandchildren Nick, Ryan, Shannon, Alyssa and Nan’s pride and joy Macy; sisters-in-law June, Clara and Daphne, special friend Margaret and a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Resting at Fewer’s Funeral Home, Lethbridge on Thursday, September 2 from 7-9 p.m., Friday, September 3 from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. and Saturday, September 4 from 10 a.m. to 12 Noon. Funeral service will take place at 2:00 p.m. at the Anglican Church, Lethbridge on Saturday, September 4, 2021 with interment at the Anglican Cemetery, Brooklyn.

    Jim and Bruce and the whole Oldford family my heartfelt condolences on the passing of Bessie.I will always remember her with that beautiful smile.She was always such a delight to see on my many visits over the years to Lethbridge.Even the last chat we had at Ann’s funeral she would say for me to drop in if passing by.I can still see that smile today.God bless you all and i will keep her in my prayers.RIP Bessie.

    So sorry to hear of the loss of Bessie. My condolences to the family. I was a servant to her for several weeks when I was a teenager. Really enjoyed that.
