Scott Penney December 9, 1965 - March 25, 2021

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Scott Penney of Canning’s Cove, at the age of 55, on March 25, 2021.

Predeceased by grandparents, Albert John & Rosie Simmonds, and Edmund & Winnie Penney. Leaving to mourn are his children, Sarah and Lucas (Hailey), parents Winston & Ella, brothers Craig (Paula), Darren (Kim) and sister Cindy (Joshua and Noah). Mother of his children, Tobi, and family Melvin & Kim Adams (Cody and Colin), Penny Adams (Erika). And finally, a large circle of cousins, friends and work family.

Scott was a force of nature – a provider with memorable character. As a father, he lived in determination to keep his family safe and found comfort in taking care of others. With his family being at the centre of his drive and motivation, Scott was also unendingly proud of his children and their success. He was a longstanding and proud member of the Carpenters Union as well as a valued member in his community.

Unfortunately, most family are unable to attend funeral services during these unprecedented times. As service information becomes available, close family and friends will be notified by invitation.

    Words cannot express how saddened and broken-hearted we are to have lost our nephew, Scott. He will remain a treasured memory close to our hearts. Our world changed dramatically when we got the news. Knowing he was so well loved not only in our world but everywhere is comforting.

    Sarah, Lucas, Ellla, Wins and family, I was so sad to hear about Scott. So much pain in our lives and my heart breaks knowing the journey that is in front of you. I remember so many happy times with Scott when we were young. Sarah, I am here for you like you were there for me. When we lose those we love the most, we also lose a big part of ourselves. Surround yourselves with the love of your family and know that I am thinking about all of you.

    I remember growing up with Scott and Craig. Wonderful memories! Over the years we did not see each other often but when we did we always had good chat.
