Condolences

FORTIER, Rexene – Passed away suddenly at her home on Monday, March 29, 2021, Rexene Fortier of Hodges Cove, aged 64 years. Predeceased by her husband Marc; parents Marcie & Harry Stringer. Left with fond and loving memories her son Justin (Lisa); grandson Nixon; sister Lexley (Kevin); brothers-in-law Luc and Pete (Marie); niece Laurie (Gerry), nephew Jason; her cousins in on the road; special friends Bonnie, Diane, Bobbi, Erica, Dorothy and Ray; and a large circle of family and friends. Resting at Fewer’s Funeral Home, Clarenville on Friday, April 2, 2021 by invitation only. Funeral service will take place on Saturday, April 3, 2021 at Fewer’s Memorial Chapel, Clarenville. Service will be by invitation only due to Covid-19 restrictions. Cremation will take place following the service.

God bless you all. Rexene always drop on the beach each year while we were there for a visit and a chat she always told us it’s so nice t9 see you all home again. Amazing young lady gone way to soon.

Our dearest condolences to the family and circle of friends that meant so much to Rexene. She will be greatly missed Wayne and Rexene had so much in common given their military backgrounds and had many conversations over a glass of port which they both enjoyed. RIP cousin

I am so sad and sorry for your loss. Your mom and I spent so much time together when she lived in St. John’s….so much time at the hockey arenas and many evenings just having a chat. My deepest condolences to you and your family. Thinking of you.

Justin, Lex, & all the Stringer cousins, We are so sorry to hear of Rexene’s passing. We became close to Rexene after she moved to St. John’s many years ago. She always took the time to visit us and catch up on all the news about her latest travels and what’s happening around the bay. A cup of coffee usually ended up being a few glasses of vino which always came with lots of laughs. She was always beaming about her little grandson Nixon and kept us up to date with all his progress. What a loss for everyone. Please know that we share your sorrow and she will never be forgotten. Lex, Justin and Families, Please accept my sincere condolences on your loss. Rexene was a very kind person who found the good in everyone. I will certainly miss her hanging out at the store exchanging travel stories over a cup of coffee. I’ve missed seeing her since the pandemic started but I will certainly treasure her friendship for the past 25 years. Celebrate her life. Rick Clarke

Rexene – I met you at Boot Camp CFRS Cornwallis. We had some great times. We both were posted to CFB Chatham NB.- more fun there. I thank you for your friendship. I will never forget you. RIP – Deepest Sympathy to family and friends – Thank you for your service.
