Condolences

Passed quickly and peacefully. Predeceased by his mother, Betty Tubrett, and father, Kevin Tubrett. Left with warm, loving and fun memories are his children, Victoria Tubrett and Christopher Tubrett, Ben Keeping, his life partner, Suzanne Keeping, his brother Robert Tubrett, and all others he touched with his wisdom and humor.

Visitation at Fewer’s Funeral Home in Clareville on Saturday, April 20, 2024, 2-4pm and 7-9pm. No funeral service to follow.

Not only was Keith wise and humorous he was also a professional craftsman, a great carpentry mentor, and a great brother-in-law whose presence will be missed by all.

sorry to hear of Keith’s passing, my condolences to his family and friends. I knew him growing up in Grand Falls, he was a good person and always had interesting conversations. I’m sure he will be missed.

So said to hear of Keith’s passing. Keith grew up two doors from me, and was my best friend as a child right up until the early 90’s when life drifted us apart. Bumped into him 10 or more years ago at the St John’s airport, we chatted as if we say each other yesterday, not 20 years ago. I have many happy memories of Keith. To Suzanne – I can’t imagine what your are going through. To his children, Victoria, Christopher and Ben, I don’t need to tell you how awesome your dad was. Robert, I know what it is like to lose a sibling, I remember a time when you were very small and Keith took you to the A-Frame restaurant just west of town (Frost top??). Your Mom dropped us off, Keith ordered and payed for your meal and he was telling the waitress how you were his little brother. He was so proud to take you there.

Deepest condolences to Victoria, Christopher Joan ,Robert and all who knew and loved Keith. He made many visits here when he lived in the area, and he will always be remembered with fondness. Keith was an absolute intellect and even though one chose to challenge him on certain issues, he always came out on top. Gerry and he worked together on several projects, and if he was was working solo he would always pop by to get another perspective .A life taken far too early. Soar high Keith!

My Dear Children Victoria and Christopher,
My heart feels your loss and I know that you have done your very best to honour your fathers passing with reverence and respect and will continue to do so. You three loved one another very much and will always be close in spirit. May you continue in your time of grieving with both sweet memories and non traditional goodbyes as you know he always followed his own path. To his whole family I wish peace and serenity. Sending deepest. condolences to Victoria, Christopher, Joan, and all who knew and loved Keith. He would stop in a lot when he lived here. He and Gerry worked several projects together. When he was working a solo he would often stop by to run things across someone else. Keith had so much intellect, but beyond that he was a skilled craftsman , and an overall great person. I am sending heart filled love to Christopher, Victoria, Robert, Joan, Suzanne, and all other family members hurting with Keith’s sudden passing.
I have many fun memories growing up with Keith and family meals. At present I see Keith spread out with mill sample paper on Nan’s floor drawing many disingenuous.He was in his bliss!
Many many joyful memories right into our adulthood.
Keith, may you enjoy the joyfulness across the way.

Victoria, Christopher, Joan & Robert I am deep with sadness learning of Keith’s passing. He was a very smart, funny and loving man. I remember dinners at Nan’s house as well and him spread out across the kitchen floor with mill sample also. Funny how them things get stored in your memory. I also remember staying at Aunt Bet’s and Uncle Kev’s and having a few laughs with him and Robert. Rest in peace, cuz! I will keep you all in my thoughts & prayers. XOXO

Christopher, Victoria, Suzanne and Ben, we are so very sorry we could not be there for you all. Our hearts are heavy with so much sorrow. We have so many wonderful memories shared with Keith over the years, on the hiking trails, on the beaches and the mountains.we were always in awe just to watch him work his magic with wood, stone and gardening. Keith was always a warm person and always there to share his knowledge and advice. A man of great ideas and a true visionary. We too will miss him greatly. Lots of Love and Hugs to you all. Christopher, Victoria, Joan my heart breaks for your pain. A chance meeting 40 years ago in St John’s began a friendship I will never forget. Keith and I shared many life experiences, more than I could ever recount here. Keith was my best man when I got married. I remember so well meeting Chris and Victoria as babies. He and I spoke at length just a few weeks ago by telephone, he in Clarenville and me at my home in Vancouver. He was happy and content, I’ve never heard him so at peace. I didn’t quite realize he was saying good bye. My heart is in pieces, I’ve truly never lost a friend this close before.
Keith, you were truly special and forever loved. What I wish most is that you were here to read this.
