Earle Anderson November 10, 1951 - June 29, 2026

Passed away peacefully at Dr. G B Cross Memorial Hospital, Clarenville on Monday, June 29, 2026, Earle Anderson of Burgoyne’s Cove, age 74 years.

Earle was born in Clifton on November 10, 1951. He met Sandra in Bonavista while attending Trade School.  They married and moved to Labrador City where he worked with IOC for 30 plus years as an electrician. They raised three children Richard, Conrad and Patricia.  When he retired they moved back to Burgoyne’s Cove to their retirement home.  He bought a boat “Our Dream” and him and Sandra enjoyed many years on the water.  They especially enjoyed time in Little Harbour with Donna and Bill.  He dearly loved his grandchildren and he was so excited when he heard he was going to be a great grandfather.  Earle loved gardening and all outdoor activities like fishing and hunting. He was an active member of both the Burgoyne’s Cove Fire Department and the Burgoyne’s Cove Veterans Commerative Association.  He was always ready for a joke, always had a smile on his face and he had a heart of gold.

Predeceased by wife Sandra of 51 years; son Conrad; parents Jubal and Rachel Anderson; parents-in-law Richard and Helen Hobbs; brothers Robert, Jubal, John and sister Betty George; three brothers-in-law and 5 sisters-in-law.

Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories his children Richard (Lisa) and Patricia Smith (Carl), both of Fort McMurray; grandchildren Faith Bursey (Kyle), Tori Anderson, Blair Anderson, Carson Smith and Catlin Smith; sisters Melvina Bailey, Evelyn Carberry, Winnie Goodyear (Cyril) and Donna Watton (Bill); brothers Hubert (Norma), Ralph (Sherri) and Raymond; sisters-in-law Joan Squires and Valorie Anderson; brother-in-law Clarence George and a large circle of family and friends.

Resting at St. Mary’s Anglican Church, Burgoyne’s Cove on Thursday, July 2 from 7-9 p.m. and Friday, July 3 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.  Funeral service 2:00 p.m. Saturday, July 4, 2026 at St. Mary’s Anglican Church, Burgoyne’s Cove with interment to follow at the Anglican Cemetery, Burgoyne’s Cove.  In his memory donations may be made to Burgoyne’s Cove Veterans Commerative Association.

Earle’s family extend their heartfelt thanks to the doctors and nurses at Dr. G B Cross Memorial Hospital for the exemplary care he received while he was a patient there.

Funeral service 2:00 p.m. Saturday, July 4, 2026 at St. Mary’s Anglican Church, Burgoyne’s Cove with interment to follow at the Anglican Cemetery, Burgoyne’s Cove.

      Sincere condolences to the family of this fine gentleman. Earl was a coworker for 20 plus years & it was a true pleasure to have the opportunity to work with him. I admired him for his neatness & ability to make every electrical job look like a factory made job. I enjoyed every day I spent in his company. RIP Earl
