He will be forever remembered by the love of his life, Pauline, wife and eternal soulmate; their son, Andrew (Melissa); mother, Florence; brothers: Stewart (Wanda), and Derrick (Joy); father-in-law, Eugene Snow; sister-in-law, Wanda (Mike) Curtis; nieces: Sarah and Rebeca Spurrell,  Danielle (Brandyn) Morrison and Chelsea Allen; nephews: Ryan Spurrell, Colby and Brendon Curtis; great-nephews: Grayson and Oliver Morrison; chosen family: April, Justin, Kendra, Mallory and Jordyn; Godson: Kelton; and a large circle of relatives, friends, and associates across Newfoundland, as well as in Inuvik, NWT, where he lived with his family from 1995-2000.

It was a great pleasure to get to know Don for the last year on our Arichat project. His dedication, professionalism, and “can-do” attitude was admirable.

I hope that Don’s loved ones have lots of good memories of him to cherish. My thoughts are with them during this difficult time.

Wow what a shock! We are deeply saddened by Don’s passing. We watch Don go down the Harbour every weekend when he headed to Round Harbour in his boat. We got to know him in Round Harbour and quickly realized he was a very hard worker and really wasn’t afraid of taking on any project. Especially with the cabin he was building in Round Harbour.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to Pauline and the family. May you Rest in Peace Don

We are devastated! It is much too early to be writing a condolence message for Don! It’s hard to take in!
There are so many positive memories from growing up across the street from each other in Come By Chance. Tho life took us all on separate journeys, whenever we met up there was always that sense of love and closeness. We are so saddened!
Please know that we are thinking of all of you during this extremely difficult time. Mom (Aunt Daisy), who lives with us in ON, shares in our sadness, thoughts and prayers.

To Pauline and Andrew, Aunt Florence, Stewart, Derrick and families. April and I are saddened to hear of Don’s passing. I was shocked when I heard this news. Donald ( as I was used to calling him), Stewart and I played together as kids when we were growing up. Like many, we went different directions when we grew older. However the few times we would meet up again we’d pick up where we left off. Donald is in my heart. This hurts me to see him go. April and I will remember you guys in our prayers.

Pauline and Andrew. Our hearts are torn at the sad news of Don’s passing. A husband and father and friend who had to leave too soon. And a precious family member with whom wonderful years were spent, and loving memories made. Let those moments and memories wrap themselves around you both at this time, and rest in their light and their peace. God be with you and give you strength as you navigate the road ahead.

With heavy hearts we send deepest condolences to Paulene, Andrew and his family and friends. All who met Don know how special he was. I met Don in the mid 80’s where we became friends and business colleagues, right up to his passing. We met Don and Paulene early in our journey as coworkers. Don was kind, professional, very dedicated to his work, however he prioritized family and always made time for a friendly chat, outside the parameters of work. He will be missed, may you rest in peace, my friend.
