Tom Verge February 3, 1963 - November 17, 2023

Tom Verge died tragically on November 17, 2023, at the age of 60 in a traffic accident.  Tom was born February 3, 1963, and lived much of his life in Old Bonaventure where he fished and enjoyed life as an outdoors man. In 2015 he moved to George’s Brook. Tom is survived by his wife, Wanda, his children, Candice (Brad) and Tyler (Larissa), sisters, Debbie (George) and Heather, and brother, Doug (Deidre). Also leaving to mourn are his stepson Roger (Cheryl) and step-grandchildren, Hailey and Keanna; brother-in-law, Herb (Mel); sisters-in-law, Sandra (George) and Rosalind; along with close friends Jean, Mary, and Walt. He is predeceased by his parents, Levi and Phyllis, brother, Stewart, and his Uncle Tom and Aunt Emma. Through his work as a fisherman and the many other jobs he maintained, along with his activity in the community, Tom leaves behind many friends and acquaintances. Tom would like to be remembered for his good humour, open heartedness, and generosity. He was always happy to lend a helping hand.

Visitations will be held at Fewer’s Funeral Home, Clarenville on Thursday, November 23, 2023 from 2 – 4 and 7 – 9 p.m.   Funeral service at Fewer’s Memorial Chapel, Clarenville 2:00 p.m. on Friday, November 24, 2023 with cremation to follow.
