Shirley Florence Stanley January 17, 1937 - May 22, 2024

Passed away peacefully at Dr. G B Cross Memorial Hospital, Clarenville on Wednesday, May 22, 2024, Shirley Stanley (nee Adams) of Clarenville, age 87 years.  Predeceased by husbands Chesley Moody and Barry Stanley; parents Esau and Rosella Adams.  Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are her children Maurice (Carole), Patricia (Richard), Deborah, Cindy (Terry), Brenda, Danny (Natalie) and Christopher (Carol); 12 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; sisters Margaret Randell and Flora Bishop; brothers Johnny Adams (Alice), Winston Adams (Gertie) and Maurice Adams (Ellen); and a large circle of nieces, nephews, family and friends.  Resting at Fewer’s Funeral Home, Clarenville.  Visitation on Friday, May 24 from 2 – 5 p.m.  Funeral service 2:00 p.m. Saturday, May 25, 2024 at Fewer’s Memorial Chapel with cremation to follow.  Burial to take place at a later date.  In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the Alzheimer’s Society.

    I’m sad that I’m not with my family in this time of loss. I hope everyone who gathered is enjoying each other’s company. The best thing to come from death can be the regathering of friends and family.
    I will miss my Nan dearly. I know I had a special place in her heart. She will live on in my own. She is at peace now. Rest easy Nan. I love you always.
