Shirley Ann Drover November 27, 1951 - January 29, 2025

Passed peacefully away surrounded by family at St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital on Wednesday, 29 January 2025, age 73 years. Shirley Drover (Green) of Hodges Cove.

Shirley was predeceased by her parents Eugene and Violet (Bean) Green, as well as brother Gary, sister Betty, brother in-law Randy Smith, sister in-law Jane Drover.

Left behind to mourn with fond and loving memories her husband of 45 years, Angus Drover of Hodge’s Cove, her 2 daughters Beverly, Amanda (Andrew), her sister Carol, her grandchildren, Matteo, Michenda, Maddex, and Arthur. And a large circle of family and friends.

Private visitation will take place at Fewer’s Funeral Home, Clarenville with cremation to follow.  A celebration of life service will be held 2:00 P.M. on Monday, February 3, 2025 at the Anglican Church, Hodge’s Cove .

A special thank you to the geriatrics staff of Dr. Kathleen O’Donnell, and the nurses and doctors on 6 West on St. Claires Mercy Hospital, and all the people involved in her care.

Shirley was always interested in working in her garden and enjoying the great outdoors, especially trips to the cabin. She was a very kind and giving person and will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Rest in Peace with the Angels.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to a charity of your choice.

    We heard about Shirley’s death and extend to you are sincere condolences. . I recall my many visits to your home and the warm welcome that I received from you all. I give thanks for Shirley’s courage and faith on her journey of illness which was an inspiration to my ministry..
