Sheila G. Temple Freake – Aged 75, formerly of Goobies and Sunnyside, NL, and currently of Clarenville, NL passed away peacefully at the Dr. G.B. Cross Hospital, Clarenville, on December 26, 2024 surrounded by family. Loving and devoted mother of Lori (Patrice Hamel) Freake and Sherry (Chris) Morrow. Sheila is survived by her daughters, Lori and Sherry, brothers, Wendell and Eddie Temple, loving nieces and nephews. Predeceased by father, Leo Temple, mother, Myrtle (née Smith) Peddle, step-father, Clement Peddle, and sister, Melita (née Temple) Framp.
Sheila was a home maker who created a loving home. Daughters, Sherry and Lori remember her as a supportive mother who was a chauffeur to her daughters and local kids for countless outings, sporting activities and holidays. Sheila loved being outdoors and took every advantage to jump in her RV and spend time with friends and family over a ‘good feed’ especially at the gravel pit campgrounds. The last year Sheila resided in Cozy Quarters Personal Care Home in Clarenville, she thoroughly enjoyed her time there. She made new friends, and enjoyed many social activities.
Viewing and celebration of life will be held in June 2025 in the Clarenville area, more details in the upcoming months. Sheila will be interred in United Church Cemetery in Sunnyside, NL in June 2025, details to follow.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to The Alzheimer Society of Newfoundland and Labrador.
