To Melanie, Clayton, Nathan and Margaret: Sincere condolences to you and all of Sharon’s family during this time of incredible loss. Sharon was as you described her: a good neighbor and and even better friend. She was kind and gentle, generous and considerate and a force to be reckoned with when she had to be. I will miss our Facebook chats. People like Sharon leave the world a place because she genuinely cared and she wasn’t a woman who would back away from a challenge. She was a woman of integrity. Sharon’s plan didn’t include leaving this world at the tender age of 68 but yet she accepted her fate and went out as she lived: with dignity and grace. May you rest in eternal peace, Sharon. You will be missed for a lifetime.

Sharon’s presence had a profound effect on those who knew her, demonstrating exceptional selflessness, humility, and kindness. Despite her own challenges, she prioritized the well-being and love of those around her. The qualities Sharon exemplified are scarce in today’s society, and I am deeply thankful to have had the pleasure of meeting her and seeing these remarkable qualities in person. To the Cooper siblings and Sharon’s own family – I was so saddened to hear of Sharon’s passing. I remember her as “one of the younger ones”:in our close-knit Cotton Street “family” – the one with the big smile and even bigger heart, and a real leader even at that age. She left you all way too early, but I know you will find comfort in how she was loved and respected by everyone who knew her. She has left a remarkable legacy. God bless all of you.

Sharon grew up across the street from us, she was about my age and we buddied around in the same peer groups as kids. All my recollections of Sharon are positive, she always had that beautiful smile and gentle demeanour. Though we have only touched base now and again as older adults, I feel a great sense of loss. I extend my condolences to all the Cooper family, our family and theirs we’re pretty much bonded through the Cotton Street years and I can still see them all as they were then. I know the love that was shared and I know Sharon had a special place in our hearts.
