Passed away peacefully surrounded by her family at Dr. G B Cross Memorial Hospital, Clarenville on Friday, May 31, 2024, Sarah Long of Champney’s West, age 90 years. Predeceased by husbands Harold Walters and Joseph Long; son Robert Walters; parents Charles and May Hiscock; brothers Charlie Hiscock, Harold Hiscock and Wilfred Hiscock; sister Lena White and son-in-law Jim Balsom. Left with fond and loving memories are her children Diane Balsom (Bud), Sharon Day (Ed), Harold Walters (Carolyn) and Pansy Payne; grandchildren Tracy Payne, Holly Payne, Adam Payne, Jamie Balsom, Michael Balsom and Jason Balsom; 15 grandchildren; sisters Molly Pennell (Bill) and Doris Muscat (Frank); and a large circle of family and friends. Resting at St. Clement’s Anglican Church, Champney’s West. Visitation Sunday, June 2 from 7 – 9 p.m. and Monday June 3 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 4, 2024 at St. Clement’s Anglican Church, Champney’s West with interment to follow at the Anglican Cemetery, Champney’s East. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to St. Clement’s Anglican Church, Champney’s West.
