February 22, 2024 at 1:56 pmI am so very sorry to hear of Ruby’s passing. Ruby and I worked together for many years at Service Canada in Clarenville. During that time, we became good friends and got to know each other’s families. Ruby had a deep love of family which was demonstrated in her care of her husband Owen, her mom Lily, and her son Christopher. She was devoted to all of them. Ruby was a quiet, generous, and loving person. Despite her quiet demeanor, she also had a great sense of humour and could brighten even the busiest day. We often teased and poked fun at each other. Ruby was a great colleague as she was dedicated to her work and was always there to help out. Her genuine concern for clients was always evident. When Ruby became ill, I was truly inspired by her courage and determination to fight the awful disease that has taken her from us. It was an honor to have known such a wonderful person as Ruby, and she will certainly be missed by all who were fortunate enough to have known her. Linda and I send our deepest sympathies to her family and friends at this very sad time. May treasured memories bring you comfort in the days to come. Wishing you strength and peace.
