It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of our beloved father and grandfather, Roland “Lloyd” Penney, who passed away peacefully on September 18, 2026.
Born December 25, 1935, Lloyd was a man with a quick wit, a dry sense of humour, and a gift for telling stories. If you knew Lloyd, you likely have at least one memory of him that will make you laugh.
Lloyd loved a simple life, days spent walking the beach with his beloved Sparky, playing one of his many instruments, and enjoying the little things that brought him happiness.
Predeceased by his parents, Elias and Leah Penney, and his loving wife, Barbara (Greening), To cherish his memory, Lloyd leaves behind his sister, Dorothy (Karl); his four children, Josie (Patrick), Lorraine (Allister), Ivan (Wanda), and Earl (Jackie); his three grandchildren, Samm (Nordee), Kirsten (Tyler), and Dillon (Stacey); and his three great-grandchildren, Norah, Noah, and Cameron, along with many friends whose lives he touched.
He leaves behind far more than memories. He leaves pieces of himself in the people who loved him, in the stories that will continue to be told, and in all the little moments that will forever remind us of him.
Though he will be deeply missed, we will carry his laughter, his stories, his music, and his love with us always.
