Rita Perry [ Muggridge] August 01, 1923 – May 19, 2022
It is with broken hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved mom/ grandmother, Rita Perry (Muggridge) of Musgravetown, on May 19, 2022 in her 99th year (August 01, 1923). While we are deeply saddened, we are also extremely grateful and fortunate to have had a loving Mom for so many wonderful years. Mom had a very caring and generous nature which she shared with all her family and friends. Her world may have been small, but she filled it to the brim with love and she was content beyond measure. As long as Mom could give, she was happy. She loved to laugh and have fun, especially with a game of cards, right up to the last days of her life. She brought a smile to everyone who knew her. Time spent with Mom was time well spent. She loved to tell stories from her earlier days, especially funny ones. Her memory was remarkable and her wealth of knowledge of the past amazed and entertained us all. Though we will always miss her, we find great comfort in believing she is with her heavenly family now, especially Dad.Mom was predeceased by Walter L. Perry (husband), John and Mary Muggridge (parents), (brothers) Lloyd (Kesiah), Clayton and sister, Muriel (Russell), Sharon Muggridge (niece), Kathy Muggridge (niece-in-law), Clyde Penney (cousin) and brother-in-law, Andrew Holloway (Kesiah). May 22, 2022 at 12:13 pmJoan ,Gail and families: Sorry to hear of Rita’s passing, please accept my sincere condolences. I remember her and your father from their visits to our house in Musgravetown to visit with mom and dad (Barbara and Alfred Saint). Your mother and mom were good friends, and mom visited with her many times after both dad and your father had passed. As a point of interest we are related as your Grandmother Perry and my Grandfather Matthews were brother and sister.

All of you have been in our thoughts these past few days. Your Mom, Joan , was so fortunate to have lived a long life and be able to recount wonderful events from the past. These are memories to cherish.
She also got to live so many wonderful years with you and your family in your home. That was a gift you unselfishly gave her.
As time passes, hopefully the sadness you feel will ease and fond memories will replace the loss you all are feeling at this difficult time.
