Marie Peddle July 13, 1944 - October 13, 2022

Passed peacefully away at  Dr. G.B Cross Memorial Hospital in Clarenville on Thursday, October 13, 2022 Marie Peddle of Hodge’s Cove, aged 78 years.  Predeceased by her parents Eloil and Sarah Drover; her husband Cecil; brother Lloyd Drover ; Lee Drover, sisters Doreen Kirby, Mary Anstey and Effie Peddle.  Left with fond and loving memories her daughters Claudine (Rachid), Doreen (Fred);  grandchildren Devin, Jeremy (Erin); great grandchildren Kayden, Kalder, Kolby; sisters Alma (Nelson); Carol (Rick),  Louise (Dave), brothers Harvey (Bernice), Bob (Lucy), Allister (Sandra), Randy (Michelle); and a large circle of family and friends.  As per her wishes cremation has taken place.  Visitation at Fewer’s Funeral Home, Little Hearts Ease on Saturday, October 15 from 8-9 p.m. and Sunday, October 16 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.  Funeral service will take place at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, October 17, 2022 at the Anglican Church, Hodge’s Cove with interment to follow at the Anglican Cemetery, Hodge’s Cove.  The family would like to thank the Doctors and Nurses of G. B. Cross Memorial Hospital for their wonderful care.   While there are too many people to thank individually the family would like to thank all of you who have supported them during this difficult time.

Funeral service will take place at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, October 16, 2022 at the Anglican Church, Hodge's Cove with interment to follow at the Anglican Cemetery, Hodge's Cove.

    Some of my best childhood memories were spent with Aunt Marie, from learning how to bake bread with a pair of underwear as a hair net, to having a safe haven to go to when having arguments with my dad, she was always there with a smile and a hug. She was a beautiful soul with a heart as big as Newfoundland. Rest easy, you will always be fondly remembered and forever missed.

    Sincere Sympathy to Doreen, Fred, Claudine, Devin, Jeremy and family and to all my siblings. She was the best, an Angel on this earth, a big Sister, a second Mom to me, and the best friend anyone could ask for. Loved like a Grandma by Melanie and Dave loved every visit with her. Always a seat at her table, generous to all! Her faith in God was unwavering.
