Condolences

Passed away at Dr. G B Cross Memorial Hospital, Clarenville on Tuesday, August 16, 2022, Margaret Chislett of Lethbridge, age 88 years. Predeceased by her husband John (Jack) Chislett; parents Robert and Bessie (Matthews) Penney; brothers Isaac, Leslie and Dorman; sisters Millicent and Myrtle. Leaving to mourn brother Mansfield (Louise) and too many nieces and nephews to mention all by name, who were like sons and daughters to her; sisters-in-law Phyllis (Lloyd Butt deceased), Sheila Primmer (Pat); brothers-in-law Howard (Fernie) and Alpheaus (Lauria); Resting at Fewer’s Funeral Home, Lethbridge on Wednesday, August 17 from 7-9 p.m. and Thursday, August 18 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will take place at 2:30 p.m. on Friday, August 19, 2022 at the Anglican Church, Lethbridge with interment to follow at the Anglican Cemetery, Lethbridge.

We are not related but she was always “Aunt Marg”. She may not have had birth children, but in reality, she had many. She was much loved by them all. I think the only time she missed a gathering at our house was one year we had our Christmas potluck on her birthday and she didn’t want to miss her phone calls. Lots of memories for us as I know there are for all her family – thinking of you at this time.
