It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Andrew Leslie Froude, of Burgoyne’s Cove. Leslie passed away peacefully, surrounded by family at Dr. G.B. Cross Memorial Hospital, on June 2, 2026, at the age of 90. He is predeceased by daughter Patsy Patricia, his wife of 59 years Melvina, his brother Albert, sisters Joyce-Irene and Phyliss, and parents Adelaide and Archabald Froude. Left with fond and loving memories are his brother Ralph (Rebecca), sister Sarah, daughters Cindy (Rodger), Diana, and Irene (Anthony), son Gary (Shanna), grandchildren Amanda, Jamie, Matthew, Michael, April, Darnell, Bree, and Amber, as well as great-grandchildren, and an abundance of nieces, nephews and friends. Les was a devoted husband, a selfless, kind, and generous man, who was always there to bring a smile, listen, or lend advice when needed. He always enjoyed tormenting those he loved, and brought laughter and joy to those around him. He was fond of going for drives, sight-seeing, and especially loved doing crafts with his wife, playing his guitar, and spending time with his family and friends. He has made a positive, lasting impact in all of our lives, and his legacy will never be forgotten. His kind soul, and witty sense of humour will be missed, but not forgotten.
We would like to extend a special thank you to Vanessa and Cynthia, the staff at Angels Touch Homecare, Dr. Elliott and Dr. Mitchelmore, for the heartfelt care he received.
Lastly, a special thank you to Dr. Kent, Dr. Kaskun, Dr. Agireb, nurses Tina, Haritha, and Sarah, PCA Tina, and the rest of the staff at Dr. G.B. Cross Memorial Hospital for their dedication and compassion. It truly made a difference, and we can’t thank you enough.
As per his wishes, cremation has taken place.
