Age 62, of English Harbour East, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, January 16, 2022, with family by her side. Juanita was born September 7, 1959 and was a daughter of Emily (Labour) and the late Thomas Kearley.
Juanita was an amazing wife, mother and person. Everyone loved her so much. She was an amazing gardener, artist, musician, and true nature lover. Everything she made as an artist was a true one-of-a-kind masterpiece. Juanita provided the music for all the funerals and weddings in her community and surrounding areas. She also sang almost every Sunday for mass. Her unfailing love, friendship, smile, sweetness, tenacity, creativity and humour will be missed. She left a lasting memory on all those she befriended.
She leaves behind to mourn, her husband, Jerome; daughter, Tiffany and son-in-law, Evan; beautiful granddaughters, Hope and Novah; mother, Emily Kearley; mother-in-law, Mary Hackett; siblings, Barbara (Carl), Derrick (Shirley) and Pauline (Don); several nieces and nephews. She also leaves behind many valued extended family members and friends.
Besides her father, she was predeceased by son, Timothy Hackett.
We would like to acknowledge with much thanks and affection, Dr. Lan Le and Cheryl Fiander RN, BN for the wonderful care with Juanita’s health these past few months.
Juanita is currently being waked in her own home. Following the wake, cremation will take place under the direction of Fewer’s Funeral Home, Clarenville. Due to COVID-19, a Memorial Service will take place later in the Summer of 2022. Donations in Juanita’s memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, 70 Ropewalk Ln, St. John’s, NL A1B 3R9, (709) 753-6520.
