So very sad to hear of Jane’s passing. Sincere condolences to her family from Sadie and I. I first met Jane when I was in my early teens – I recall many times walking along the track in Milton behind Jane and Frank’s house going over to the government wharf. I was usually with Byron who used to babysit for Frank and Jane. Always a fun filled conversation between Jane and Byron as they tormented each other. Fast forward many years and when we built our cabin on Thorburn Lake we were only three down from Jane and Frank. We were in their company often in these days. I fondly recall Frank saying to me one day at his cabin “Glen, I ‘spose I’m to old to learn how to fly. I’m 50 years old”! NOT LIKELY was my reply. He got his licence, bought his Super Cub and he and Jane spent many, many hours flying into their favorite fishing spots over the years. Both flying high together again now. May you rest in peace, Jane. Godspeed . . .

To the Wiseman Family, condolences to you all at this sad time. What a wonderful lady Jane was, and always such a joy to be around. She had a dry and delightful sense of humor and we always had a laugh or two when she came to the post office or just running into her around town. Think of you all as you grieve your loss.

Sherry and Darlene. Condolences to you and your families on the passing of your mom and my dear friend. We met at Thorburn Lake and became friends so many years ago. I remember the many skidoo trips and boil ups. Jane loved her cup of tea in the woods. We shared many meals together. We laughed and enjoyed each other’s company. I have so many precious memories of our friendship. Rest in peace my friend.

Sherry, Darlene and families. Our sincere condolences on your mom’s passing. Jane was a warm and wonderful person. We always felt so welcome when we visited, by both her and your dad. We chatted and laughed, the stories they could tell about their many adventures with mom and dad. They were so happy and proud when Chris had Jane pull the switch and they were the first to have electricity at the Lake. Cherish your memories.
