Jade Lillian Williams November 7, 2016 - April 22, 2021

Williams, Jade Lillian – Having fought the good fight, she has finished the race and on Thursday April 22nd, 2021 earned her angel wings, Jade Williams of Southern Harbour, age 4 years.  The strength, determination and resiliency Jade has shown in her earthly journey is nothing short of miraculous.  She brought the greatest joy and love to her devoted parents, Julie & Kenny and despite the challenges and struggles Jade experienced during her life, her mom and dad were the constant support and biggest advocates for her medical care and treatment, compounded with such unconditional love that allowed Jade to grow and thrive and enjoy her life to the fullest.  Jade will be dearly missed by her little brother Greyson and although their time together has been short, the bond is strong and he will forever love and know his big sister will be in heaven watching out for him and keeping him safe.  In the meantime, Jade can be assured her little brother  will also receive the same love and kindness she has been shown from their loving grandparents, Ken & Tammy Williams and Cyril & Marilyn Seaward; great-grandparents Eugene & Margaret Williams, Arch & Bessie Murrin, Anastashia Seaward; Julie’s brothers and sister, Michael & Grady and Tiffany Van Dyk.  Jade has been blessed to have so much love and to those who have been with her, they know she gave back in return the sweetest smile, a wonderful “ahhhhhh” and heartiest giggle from the depths of her belly, especially when Poppy Ken gave her their special handshake.  Last, but certainly not least, Jade’s best friend and biggest supporter “Ackie”, her great uncle, Sheldon Williams.  Jade received just pure, unconditional joy and love from the first time they met.  The memories they created are numerous and the heartache because she is gone, almost unbearable, but because their bond was unbreakable on earth it will sustain him until one day they will be united again to relish in each other’s company.  Jade will be missed by many but remembered forever by her “Jade Supporters”, other relatives and friends.  The biggest thank-you to the Janeway Children’s Hospital and its staff for helping to provide the best medical care possible, especially Dr. David Buckley, Christina, Annalise and Paula.  Thank-you to Clarenville Pharmachoice and Cabot Pharmacy for you expertise and commitment to Jade’s medicine care for the past 4 years and workers from Eastern Health, Wanda, Corrine, Sharon and Kevin who assisted us with providing care for our precious sweetpea.  Thank-you to the Southern Harbour Volunteer Fire Department and Fewer’s Ambulance for their quick response to try and help save our precious Jade.  Thank-you to the paramedics from Fewer’s and the nurses and doctors at GB Cross Memorial Hospital for doing all they could to try and keep her here for just a little longer, but the time had come and Jade was released from all earthly bounds and is flying high with the angels, watching over us all.  Thank-you to a very special person, Santa Bruce and Mrs. Clause for their devotion and kindness freely given during these past 4 years not only to Jade but many children of the Janeway.  Bruce Templeton you had an instant connection with our precious Jade and she was honored to have you come into her life and give hope and the miracle of St. Nicholas when we all needed it the most.  We will forever be appreciative of your selflessness and compassion and as you left her room that day by ending with a prayer to St. Nicholas , “Lord, Save her from Pain and Grant her your Peace.”, we know our prayer has been answered!!  On the wall in her room, overlooking her bed, a picture with the verse, “She Believed she Could so She Did.”  This is the motto Jade used for these past years, with all our love and support she was encouraged and so she believed she could and so she did overcome so much and offered so much to all who knew her.  Now, the motto will take her to her heavenly home, “She Believed She Could so She Did!”  We have always loved you Jade, just as you were and we always will…Until we Meet Again!

Jade will be resting at Christ the King Church, Southern Harbour.  There will be a private visitation Sunday, April 25, 2021 from 2pm – 4pm and 6pm – 8pm for her very immediate family only.  Visitation on Monday, April 26, 2021 from 9am – 9pm by invitation only due to Covid-19 regulations.  Visitation Tuesday, April 27, 2021 from 9am – noon by invitation only due to Covid-19 regulations and the Funeral Mass at 2:30pm by invitation only.  We know there are many who may want to see Jade and pay their respects but because of Covid-19 protocols being followed we are limited in the number who can physically enter the Wake Room, however, there will be some family present during these times outside and can meet with you safely and allow a window visit if you may wish to do so.  Flowers are graciously accepted or donations to the family to assist with final expenses.  Again, Thank-you for all your love and support and prayers, Jade meant so much to so many!!

Funeral Mass will be by invite only as per Covid rules and will take place on Tuesday, April 27, 2021 at Christ The King Roman Catholic Church, Southern Harbour.

I am so very saddened to hear this news. While I was attending the Discovery Centre, I still remember how your face Sheldon would light up whenever you spoke of Jade. Your were such a proud uncle to this earth angel who has transitioned to her heavenly position. Jade was a blessing, a gift, a miracle. she was blessed to have such a loving and devoted family, and you were blessed to have her. Now without a doubt she is in heaven with God the father and our savior Jesus Christ. Thinking of you and your family during this sad time, and keeping your family in my prayers.

but Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me and do not hinder them, for to such belongs the kingdom of heaven.” (Mathew 19:14)
