Passed away peacefully, at the Dr. G.B. Cross Memorial Hospital in the presence of her loving family, Irene Critch of Hillview at the age of 85.
Predeceased by her parents; Ebenezer and Emily Ann Whalen of Caplin Cove, NL. In-Laws George and Alice Critch of Hillview, NL. Brothers, William (Rachel) Whalen, Hedley (Emma) Whalen, Stanley (Woodrow) Whalen, Sister, Ethel (William) Jacobs, and son, Jeffrey.
Leaving to mourn, the love of her life, best friend, and soul mate, her husband Roy Critch. Her devoted children Pauline (Dale) Vey, Selma (Wayne) Critch, Kevin (Sylvia) Critch, Cecil (Lisa) Critch, and Duane (Susie) Critch. Sister Marcie (George) Hillyard.
Grand Children; Jamie, Brandon, Kaitlin, Jeffrey, Matthew, Mitchell, Ian, Ashley, Samantha, and Emilyann.
Great-Grand Children, Dallas, Alivia, Jett, Myla, Arianna, Alessia, and Alijah.
And a vast circle of loving family and friends.
Resting at Fewer’s Funeral Home, Clarenville on Friday, October 23, 2026 at 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m.
Funeral service 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 24, 2026 at Fewer’s Memorial Chapel in Clarenville with interment to follow at the Anglican Cemetery, Hillview.
The family would like to thank the Doctors, Nurses, and Staff of G.B. Cross Memorial Hospital for their compassionate care during her brief stay.
We would also like to thank all the family and friends for the love and support given to Irene and us over the past few weeks your support means the world to us.
In Lieu of flowers a donation can be made to the local SPCA.
