Passed suddenly away at Dr. G.B. Cross Memorial Hospital in Clarenville on November 1, 2026 Valma Meadus of St. Jones Within aged 73 years.
Predeceased by father, Russell Avery, husband Hector Meadus, sister Sheila Avery, in-laws Herbert and Martha Meadus, brothers-in-law Howard Meadus, Randell Meadus, sister-in-law Vera Seward.
Left with fond and loving memories her son Leroy (Tracey) Flat Rock, daughter Charlotte (Sterling) Little Heart’s Ease; grandchildren, Jacob, Trent (Stella); sisters Denise (Lenny) Clarenville, Wanda (Rod) Hillview, brothers Brian (Brenda), Deep Bight, Darrell (Donna) Shoal Harbour, mother, Annie St. John’s, sisters-in-law Audrey (Gilbert), Dallas (George), Sylvia, brothers-in-law Clyde (Kyna), Cliff all of St. Jones Within, special friends Eileen, Sylvia, nieces and nephews and a large circle of family and friends. Resting at Faith United Church, St. Jones Within. Visitation will be on Tuesday, November 3, 2026 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service will be Wednesday, November 4, 2026 at 2 p.m. at Faith United Church, St. Jones Within, with interment to follow at Faith United Cemetery, St. Jones Within.
In her memory donations may be made to Faith United Church, St. Jones Within or Clarenville Retirement Centre Recreation Committee.
The family would like to thank the staff of Clarenville Retirement Centre, Dr’s and nurse Darlene Smith at Dr. G.B. Cross Memorial Hospital, Clarenville.

That gives me hope and I hope it will give you reassurance as well.
