It was with great sadness I heard of your mothers death, to me she was always Mrs Palmer and in later years Chat. I always enjoyed being in her company she was always so bubbly and pleasant. My mom, Nora Penny, also passes on her condolences to all of you and remembers many great times with your mom in Terra Nova.
Treasure your memories of which I’m sure are many.

I enjoyed a lovely visit with Aunt Chat less than 2 weeks ago. We talked about our good memories of members of the large Peddle family, most of whom lived very long lives. She was the most colorful of the 12 Peddle children, and she faced the trials and tragedies in her life with grace and dignity. Judy and I send warmest condolences to her girls and grandchildren. She leaves a large gap in our lives. We will miss that unique laugh!

    To all Chats family,
I’ve known Chat for a long time. I first met her through Peggy and I loved talking to her. I think the last time I saw her was in Gander when she was visiting Peggy and I was home from Nova Scotia. We went shopping and had a lovely visit. She was so full of life and always game for a bit of fun. Love and hugs to all the family..

To All the Family: Chat always exhibited strength mingled with compassion. This was evident when I was first introduced to the Terra Nova Palmer family in 1970. Over the years since then, my initial observation of Chat’s unforgettable manner has never waned. In fact, it was cemented in November of 1975 with the tragic passing of your father. As we met to plan arrangements for the service at the church, it was your mother’s love and concern for her family that shone through. I know God will give you many personal memories of her full life that will inspire you in coming days. There was only one Chat. I will remember her fondly.
