Passed peacefully away at his home in Canning’s Cove surrounded by his trees after a courageous battle with cancer on September 19, 2022 Graham Spencer. Predeceased by his parents and his UK family. Survived by the love of his life and significant other Roma. His step daughters, Megan Furlong (Stephen Butt), Jessica Furlong, Carly (Richard) Phillips. Many people have been involved in the 18 years he was in Canada. Over the last year many will come to mind but we would like to specifically say thank you to “neighbour across the road” Heather for all the grocery runs. Kathleen Humby home care worker extraordinar over five weeks felt like family. Uncle Bond, you have been there whenever we needed something, we cannot say thanks enough. Roma’s Aunt Mona, who has been her sounding board for her comfort. Jennifer Lane, Community Health nurse for her constant calls to check how we are. Dr. Reece and Dr. Stockwell for their wonderful care and constantly looking into how Graham was doing. Angela and the girls at the chemo unit of the Dr. G. B. Cross Memorial Hospital. Finally Gerald Thomas and the Musgravetown fire department for giving Graham his last call out. I am sure there are many more over the last 14 months of Graham’s illness. If I have forgotten know you are greatly appreciated. As per his wishes he let the beast have the final say and cremation has taken place. Also, as per his request no memorial or funeral. A British wake will take place at a later date.
