Passed peacefully away at the Dr. G. B. Cross Memorial Hospital in Clarenville on Tuesday, April 21, 2026 Gloria King of Clarenville formally of Trouty aged 79 years. Predeceased by her parents, Cecil and Amelia Bailey; parents-in-law, William and Miriam King; husband, William Robert King; baby sister and baby brother; sister-in-law Audrey Bailey. Left with fond and loving memories her children, Sterling King (Lisa), Pearl Wiseman (Darrell); grandchildren, Renee (Alvin), Wanda-Lee (Lucas), Rebecca (Brian), Sarah (Grant), Ryan (Emily); great grandchildren, Jasmine, Connor, Abigail, Ellie, Lincon; former grandson-in-law, Justin Coish; brothers, Wilson Bailey (Joan), Bruce Bailey (Clara); special friends, Ruby Woods and Jackie Sceviour; and a large circle of family and friends. Resting at Fewer’s Funeral Home in Clarenville on Thursday, April 23, 2026 from 7-9 P.M. and Friday, April 24, 2026 from 2-4 & 7-9 P.M. Funeral service to take place from Fewer’s Memorial Chapel, Clarenville on Saturday, April 25, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. Cremation to take place following funeral service with interment at a later date. In her memory flowers will be accepted. The family would like to take this opportunity to thank the staff of Clarenville Retirement Center for their wonderful care over the past years while Gloria was a resident. Also, to the doctors and nurses of Dr. G. B. Cross Memorial Hospital who were wonderful during Gloria’s stay, you truly were like angels.
