Edgar John Smith – Fewer's Funeral Home

Passed peacefully away at Dr. G B Cross Memorial Hospital, Clarenville on Sunday, February 26, 2023, Edgar John Smith of Gooseberry Cove, age 92 years. Predeceased by his parents Benjamin and Minnie Smith; brother Willis and sister Mary Alice Davis. Left with fond and loving memories his wife Gertie of 58 years; son Fred (Doreen); sisters in law Alma Whalen, Rose Whalen and June Whalen; and a large circle of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Cremation will take place. Visitations at Fewer’s Funeral Home, Little Hearts Ease on Tuesday, February 28 from 7-9 p.m. and Wednesday, March 1 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service to be held on Thursday, March 2, 2023 at 2:00 P.M. from St. Alban’s Anglican Church, Gooseberry Cove with interment to follow at the Anglican Cemetery, Gooseberry Cove. The family would like to thank the doctors and nurse at the Dr. G. B. Cross Memorial Hospital for their wonderful care.
