Passed peacefully away at Dr. G B Cross Memorial Hospital, Clarenville on Thursday, March 19, 2026, Charles Stanley of Clarenville, age 86 years.
Predeceased by his wife of 67 years Vera Stanley; children Lester and Whitfield Stanley; parents Bessie and George Stanley; brothers Ernest, Gordon, Jack and Larry; sisters Gertrude Ivany, Margaret Bailey, Mabel Ploughman, Myrtle and Maude Stanley and brother-in-law Pierce Blundon.
Leaving to mourn his children Louise (Jerry), Christine (Doug), Carolyn, Trudy (Scott) and Belinda (Rick); son-in-law Harold Moore; grandchildren Charlie, Andrea, Stephanie, Courtney, Stacey, Andrew, Eden, Dylan, Cassie, Jordan and April; great grandchildren Preston, Jordan, Daniel, James, Ryan, Devon, Robert, Alex, Kailey, Brook, Maddison, Noah, Layla, Audrey and Jacob; sister-in-law Violet Parsons (David) and a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Cremation has taken place. Visitation on Thursday, March 26, 2026 at Fewer’s Funeral Home, Clarenville from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Memorial Service 1:00 p.m. Friday at Fewer’s Memorial Chapel, Clarenville with interment to follow at Milton-George’s Brook Cemetery.
