Burford Ploughman September 11, 1952 - March 6, 2025

Passed away peacefully at the Health Sciences Centre, St. John’s on Thursday, March 6, 2025, Burford (Burf) Ploughman of Shoal Harbour, age 72 years.

Predeceased by his parents Arthur and Mary Ploughman; brothers Ray, Wally and Gregory; sister Sherry Leyte.

Left with fond and loving memories his sisters Leah Wiseman (Fred) and Ruby Dewling (Brian Pelley); brother Ron Ploughman (Laura); sisters-in-law Donna Slade and Janette Abbott (Eugene); special friends Terry, Melaine and Brooke Stringer; a large circle of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Resting at Fewer’s Funeral Home, Clarenville.  Visitation will be on Friday, March 7 from 7 – 9 p.m. and Saturday, March 8 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.  Celebration of life service will take place at the funeral home during the visitation on Saturday evening.  Cremation will follow the service and a private committal will be held at a later date in the Pleasant Street Cemetery, Clarenville.

    Sorry to hear of burford passing, I knew burford for a long time and he would always be around his sisters restaurant , when ever we would stop in there, kind hearted , our thoughts and prayers are with the ploughman family, RIP my old friend
