Passed peacefully away at the Dr. G.B. Cross Memorial Hospital Clarenville on Wednesday, March 11, 2020 Athena Pitts of Canning’s Cove, aged 79 years. Predeceased by her parents Clyde and Mildred Adams; brother Winston Adams; brother in law George Strong. Left with fond and loving memories her husband Oliver Pitts of 58 years; children Roxanne Howse (Derrick), Judy Stead, Vivian Pitts (Jeff), James (Cindy), Jeanette Harris; grandchildren Tanya Terry (Ken), Sheldon Howse (Tammy), Shannon Howse (Lesley), Samantha Pardy (Jeremy), Paul Pitts, Amber Close, Cole Pitts, Nathan Howse; great grandchildren Evan Terry, Gracie Terry, Paige Howse, Amber Howse, Zachary Pardy and Joseph Terry; sisters Geraldine Mercer (Gordon), Phyllis Strong; brother Austin (Carol), William (Arlene), Lindsey (Daphne); sister in law Wendy Adams; special friends Pat (Mike); homecare workers Crystal Holloway and Lori Hicks; and a large circle of family and friends. At her request, cremation is to take place and a private family service to take place at a later date.

March 13, 2020 at 10:03 amI had the pleasure off working with Teen some years ago, she was always very Pleasent lady, lots of laughs for sure. It was then I found out that her Dad (Clyde Adams) was the brother of my Grandfather (Cecil Adams). My mom (IsabelleAdams).
So it is with great saddest to hear of her passing. May God Bless each and everyone of the family and friends have great memories of Teen. RIP Beautiful Lady.
