Passed away peacefully surrounded by his family at Dr. G B Cross Memorial Hospital, Clarenville on Tuesday, February 4, 2025, William Maxwell Joseph Trowbridge of Clarenville, age 75 years.
Bill was born in Tack’s Beach, Placentia Bay on April 29, 1949. He is predeceased by his parents Stewart and Stella Trowbridge; brothers Alex and Ben; sister Mary, brothers-in-law Patrick Hogan, Albert Lockyer and Earl Lockyer; sister-in-law Mabel Trowbridge; also brothers and sisters-in-law Gerald Davis, Bette Cooper, Selby Cooper, Gordon Davis, Evelyn Davis, Graham Davis and Louise Davis; parents-in-law Lloyd and Bessie Davis.
Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories his wife Ann of 49 years; daughter Paula (Gary); sons Billy (Janice) and Joey (Charlotte); grandchildren Billy (Melissa), Nicole, Derek, Melissa (Graham), Brandon and April; great grandchildren Isaac, Trent, Tanner, Preston, Luke and Nathan; brothers George (Donna), Cecil (Eileen), Phil (Sylvia) and Junior (Edna); sisters Lily (Earl – deceased) Carrie (Pat – deceased) Ida (Mike), Gertie (Wayne) and brother-in- law Gary Davis.
Resting at Fewer’s Funeral Home, Clarenville. Visitation Thursday, February 6, 2025 from 2 – 4 and 7 – 9 p.m. Funeral service 2:00 p.m. Friday, February 7, 2025 at Fewer’s Memorial Chapel, Clarenville. Cremation to follow the service.
Bill was a wonderful, kind & helpful man who was thought the world over by everyone who met him, he had a great sense of humor & many friends who would visit him most every day (his shed buddies), also want to thank the Drs & Nurses at the G. B. Cross Hospital Clarenville who provided such excellent care these past 3 weeks. Special thank you to his daughter Paula & her husband Gary who accompanied him to every ER visit, stayed with him, took him to all his appointments in town etc. Also thank you to his brother Cec & good friend Dave Peddle who was so helpful looking after Bill & his wife, may God Bless you for all your help in our time of need. No flowers by Bill’s request.
