Wendy Chaulk, age 54 years, sadly passed away at Dr. G. B. Cross Memorial Hospital, Clarenville, on Monday, March 3, 2025.
Predeceased by her son Grant Chaulk; parents Winston & Rosalind Churchill; grandparents William & Mary Churchill; David & Dorothy Best; and father-in-law Dennis Chaulk Sr.
Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are her husband, Dennis; daughter Elizabeth; brother Steven Churchill (Melissa); sister Tracy Hann (Lloyd); mother-in-law Jennie Chaulk, brother-in-law Dion Chaulk (Althea); brother-in-law Trevor Chaulk; nephews & nieces Gordon, Ryan, Matt, Ethan, Hope, Austin, Jordan, & Abigail.
If you search up the word crafty, you could almost guarantee a picture of Wendy would appear. While it may not actually, it should because for all who knew her, knew she took great pride in her creative abilities.
She was the co-founder of Squish Creations, a business she so proudly loved. Tole painting, sewing, just crafts in general was where Wendy always was and in a close second place to making crafts, you’d find her shopping.
While she loved the mall, Wendy was unique and loved to support small businesses, farmer’s markets, craft fairs and let’s not forget her ever dying love for winners. Whatever she seen that she loved was coming home with her whether Dennis liked it or not.
Her husband, Dennis was her best friend. They were never apart if she could help it. They shared a passionate love for one another so much so that Dennis became a Squish employee and Wendy loved to fish. She didn’t even care when she was covered in squid doo doo! She adored it.
Wendy was a dibble dabber at one point. She thought she wanted to be a photographer, a cook, and she even imaginarily opened 10 businesses. Her mind was always wandering and jumping to the next creative outlet.
Her kids, Grant and Elizabeth were everything she’d ever wanted. Grant kept her on her toes wondering where he was, what automobile he was purchasing next and what he’d have her convinced to co-sign on.
Elizabeth is what they say mother-like-daughter. Every trait Wendy loved, you’ll find through Liz and her indecisiveness will never die.
Her puppies, Jer and Moo Moo, although a pain in her butt, she loved more then ever. Friends and her sister Tracy, she held so dear and the laughs she had as many know, Wendy was quite literally known to laugh until she peed her pants.
There was not much Wendy couldn’t do and if you ever want to find her, just walk the beach and collect the sea glass, she’ll be there in spirit.
The only fit reason why a woman so full of love and life could leave so soon is no doubt due to her little boy needing her in heaven.
We invite all who knew Wendy to join us in remembering a truly remarkable woman.
Resting at Emmanuel United Church in Charlottetown. Visitation will be on Thursday, March 6, from 2pm to 4pm & 7pm to 9pm. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, March 7, 2025 at Emmanuel United Church, Charlottetown with interment to follow at Emmanuel United Cemetery, Charlottetown.
