December 19, 2022 at 5:38 pmSincere condolences to the family. Verda was indeed a wonderful person and will be missed. I often heard my mother (her cousin, Genevieve Ash) speak fondly of her and having had the opportunity myself to chat with her on a number of occasions, remember her as a gentle and kind lady. May your precious memories help sustain you at this difficult time and may Verda rest in peace alongside her husband and other family members.

December 20, 2022 at 3:53 pmCondolences to Verda’s family and her many friends.
Verda will certainly be missed at our :In Memory of the Schooner Maghie Inc.:meetings. In 1896 her Grandfather, William Ash, lost his life when the Maggie met with disaster in St. John’s Harbour. Verda was dedicated to ensuring a Monument and Story Boards would be erected in memory of those who lost their lives and those who survived the disaster. On July 10, 2022 Verda was present for the unveiling of the Monument! It was a very special day for her. We take comfort in knowing she witnessed Phase One of our vision.

Sending you all our deepest condolences! A mother is the glue to a family and to lose her at any time is very sad but Christmas being family time makes it especially sad. I hope your wonderful memories of years gone by will help ease the sorrow in time. I remember her fondly of being one of my most dedicated clients in my hair stylist days. Will be thinking of all your family today with a heavy heart ❤️🩹
