Passed away at GB Cross Memorial Hospital in Clarenville on Monday, May 19, 2025 Theresa Frampton of Arnold’s Cove in her 91st year.
On September 28, 1934 Theresa was born to John and Amelia Frampton of Monkstown (formerly known as Paradise Sound). She was the third of fifteen children, the first daughter.
In her later teenage years, Theresa left the homestead in Monkstown and moved to St. John’s for work. She was employed at The Salvation Army Grace General Hospital for approximately 37 years. In her retirement years, she spent her time between St. John’s and Monkstown. She loved the outdoors and fishing. She enjoyed going on cook-ups and attending the church in Monkstown. She lived with her brother Maxwell prior to moving to the Glenbrook Villa in St. John’s. In 2017, she joined her brothers Bill, Melvin and sister-in-law Irene and moved to Alberta. Newfoundland called her back home in 2021 where she moved to Arnold’s Cove into the Hilltop Manor. She spent her final years being surrounded by many siblings, family and friends.
Theresa was predeceased by her parents John and Amelia; brothers Emmanuel, Frank, Chesley, Melvin and Jack; sister Edith Marie. She is survived by brothers Bill, Maxwell and Sid (Marilyn); sisters Beatrice, Susie, Violet, Ethel (Ray) and Marie (Terry); sisters-in-law Irene and Amelia; many nieces and nephews and a large extended circle of family and friends.
Visitation will be held at Fewer’s Funeral Home, Arnold’s Cove on Wednesday, May 21 from 7-9 pm (family only); Thursday from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm (public visitation). Funeral service to take place on Friday, May 23 at 11am at The Salvation Army, Arnold’s Cove. Interment to follow at Monkstown Cemetery.

We were her Clergy’s for six and a half years and had many good times together…from trouting on the ice with the a good feed to having a good feed on the Frampton meadow….we were always welcome. She loved her Church and loved her Lord…and she also loved Randy but that wasn’t no secret…lol. So sorry we couldn’t be there today but please accept our deepest condolences love and prayers…until we meet again…from Captains Randy and Diane. The Salvation Army Seal Cove Fortune Bay.
