Passed peacefully away at Carbonear Hospital on Wednesday, October 29, 2025, Rita Slade of Arnolds Cove aged 87 years.
Predeceased by her husband Roland, parents Wilfred & Elsie Peach, parents-in-law Harold & Myrtle Slade, siblings Mabel, Mona, James, Heber and Calvin and great grandson Kahlen.
Left with fond and loving memories are her children Dale (Kathleen), Rick (Colleen), Holly (Don) and Lajuan (Mervin); grandchildren Chris ( Holly), Ricky (Terri-Lynn), Megan (Scott), Mason (Bruce), Taylor (Kelsey) and Mackenzie (Johnny); great grandchildren Georgia, Dayton, Addison, Aria, Peyton, Destiny, Benjamin, Anna, Rowan, Allie and Teddy; siblings Frank Peach (Jessie), Otto Peach (Rowena), Fred Peach (Ann) and Susie Boutcher (Gordon). She will be dearly missed by her close friend Norma Slade who sat by her side day in and day out and helped her in any way she could. Also a large circle of extended family and friends.
Resting at Fewer’s Funeral Home, Arnold’s Cove. Visitation on Friday, October 31, 2025 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service 2:00 p.m. Saturday, November 1, 2025 at St. Michael’s and All Angels Anglican Church, Arnold’s Cove with interment to follow at the Interfaith Cemetery, Arnold’s Cove.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to her Hilltop Manor family for their love, kindness and care shown to Rita over the last few years. It is deeply appreciated.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Michael’s and All Angels Anglican Church, Arnold’s Cove.
