Truly sorry to hear of Rev Rodger’s passing. I have known him every since myself and Beverly were in High School together. I’ve spent many times with your Dad, and he was a very good Minister and man of God too. A quiet and gentle man, something like my own Father. He was always kind to everyone and always there to offer encouragement and prayers. Thinking of Blanche and Beverly and Donna and Wanda and all the family. God Bless. Cherish your memories. Blanche (and family), we send our heartfelt condolences to you all, at this sad time. Rev. Rodgers was my clergy in my childhood days, and I have many happy memories of you all visiting. From overnight stays, and trips out in boat with my dad to catch a fresh cod for a big fish and brewis dinner, Reverend Silas was always full of life, energy and fun.
In later years, my husband and I were delighted to connect with you both again. We looked forward to your yearly visits, travelling in your camper, looking for a good patch of partridgeberries , and a bit of fish. We enjoyed you staying with us, his wonderful stories and how he was delighted when I told him my oldest grandson’s name is Silas.
Praying for God’s comforting arms to be around you during the days ahead.

Members of the Campbellton Pastoral Charge are saddened by the passing of Rev.Silas Rodgers and extend Sincere Sympathy to his family, friends and colleagues. It was our good fortune to have him as our Minister in his early years and again after his retirement.
A dedicated worker, friend to all and certainly one who enjoyed the great outdoors. Our relationships were renewed when his daughter, Rev. Beverly Matthews, became our present Minister and he would be our guest preacher on special occasions..
Well done good and faithful servant certainly sums up his life as he enters into heavenly rest.
