UPDATED FUNERAL INFORMATION see below
The world has lost a shining light with the passing of Randolph Crocker, known fondly to many as Randy or Ran. He passed away peacefully on February 11, 2023 at 4:30 am. at the age of 78, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and joy.
Randolph was born on September 17, 1944, and from the very beginning, he was a special soul with a contagious smile and a warm heart. Throughout his life, he made connections with people from all walks of life and touched the hearts of those he met. He lived a life filled with love, laughter, and joy, and brought happiness to everyone around him.
Randolph was predeceased by his dear friend Lillian Kennedy, his loving parents John and Cora Crocker, and his beloved sisters Eleanor, Bonnie (Clem), Rosalind (Donald), and Barbara. He leaves behind his only child Sheldon R. S. Crocker, who will hold close the precious memories of the love and guidance provided by his father.
His brothers Clem and Rex (Elizabeth), and sister Linda (Hollis), along with good friends David Warren and so many others from many places, including the extended family in Chance Cove, will feel the deep void left by Randolph’s passing. He was a cherished member of the Clarenville Retirement Home community and was loved and respected by all who knew him through his many years of service with the Chance Cove Lions Club.
A short visitation will be held at Fewer’s Funeral Home at 299 Memorial Drive, Clarenville on Thursday, February 23 from 2-4 pm., followed by a prayer at the cemetery in Swift Current, Placentia Bay on Friday, February 24, 2023 at 4:00 p.m. Although Randolph did not want a big event to mark his passing, his friends, family, and loved ones will come together to celebrate his life and to honour his memory.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Randolph’s memory may be made to Stella’s Circle Inclusion Choir, an organization that aligns with his values of kindness, care, and love for others.
Randolph will be deeply missed by all who knew him. He will forever be remembered as a kind and caring person with a warm smile and a great sense of humor. His legacy of love and joy will live on in the hearts of those he left behind, and his memory will be cherished forever.
We take comfort in knowing that Randolph is now reunited with his loved ones who have passed before him, and that he is at peace. Rest in peace, Randolph. Your love and laughter will be deeply missed, but never forgotten.

February 12, 2023 at 2:18 pmWe finally were having a great relationship dad. you’ve taught me more about life than i allowed myself to believe i had. At least now, you’re out of pain. What’s earth’s loss is heavens gain. Yes, as you said in your dying words, “I’ve fought the fires of hell on earth, now I can go to heaven and show my worth…come and take me away.”
