Condolences

Passed peacefully away at the Health Science Center in St. John’s, NL on September 22, 2024 Phyllis Vokey of Trinity aged 86 years. Predeceased by parents, Samuel and Theodosia Miller; her husband, Samuel Vokey; son, Clyde Vokey; daughter, Beverly Tucker; brothers, Reginald Miller and Giles Miller; sister, Lucy Johnson. Left with fond and loving memories her children, Janice of St. John’s, Sheldon (Valene) of Paradise; son-in-law, Austin Tucker; grandchildren, Sandi (Danny), Shannon (Amanda), Sheena, Shane (Sara), Abby; great grandchildren, Riley, Ryan, Sophia, Sophie, Tessa, Jack, Paige, Nathan; and a large circle of family and friends. Cremation has taken place. A celebration of her life will take place at a later date. Donations in her memory may be made to the Alzheimer’s Society.

Janice, my Mom use to say your Mom was a beautiful soul. I heard so much about her from Mom and didn’t realize you were her daughter. You must be proud to be her daughter. I know your heart is saddened and life has now changed. You must remember that all the love, memories and things she had done that made you laugh will be embedded in your soul. We are thinking of your family and you at this difficult time. I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers. Much love ❤️

Lots of fond memories of Phyllis. I remember the tea buns and her delicious meals. All the fun times at the Village Inn. Holding Janice and Sheldon and Shane especially in my heart. Condolences to the family. Rest in Peace Phyllis.

So sorry to hear of her passing it was only last week I was at Cradea Manor to visit the ladies. She was such a sweet lady. Looked after her for many years there. Going to sadly missed . May you R.I.P . Phyllis till we meet again. 🙏❤️❤️❤️

  Where do I start Phyllis was like a Mother to me.. Janice was my best friend and always will be . I lived with the family for many years..my love and thoughts are with Janice, Sheldon and his family.
