Condolences

Michael Dermot Devine passed away at Golden Heights Manor, Bonavista, on Friday, May 27, 2022 aged 70 years. He was born in Grand Falls-Windsor on November 25, 1951. He is predeceased by his parents Nellie and Patrick Devine. Leaving to mourn his sisters, Mary and Patricia; brothers Danny (Nancy) and Cyril; nieces, Kimberly (Ned) and Danielle; a very large circle of friends. Michael was an amazing brother. As well he treasured his many friends in St. John’s who made his life so wonderful and meaningful. The many meals, hikes, barbecues and fun times with those friends left lasting memories and gave him such happiness and joy. He will be truly missed. Cremation has taken place. A private family service and interment will take place at a later date.

My condolences to the Devine family. Michael was a good friend of mine for 30 years. We had helped each other through many difficult times. He had a wonderful sense of humor and we learned to laugh at ourselves over time. He will be missed.

Pat and family, my heart goes out to you, I first met him last July the 19 th. and I was so impressed with him; it was the day two friends from St. John’s came out to visit him and the look of pure joy that came over his face, I’ll never forget. I regret I’m not closer to give you a big hug and try my best to comfort you.
