Passed away peacefully at the Dr. G. B. Cross Memorial Hospital, Clarenville on Friday, September 25, Meta Giles formally of Ramea at 89 years of age.
Predeceased by her husband Gerald, son George, daughter-in-law Lorna, parents George H. and Edna Meade, brothers Jim, Cecil, John, Cyril, sisters Shirley and Mamie, brothers-in-law Eric, Eddie, Albert and sister-in-law Peggy and nephew John Meade.
Left with fond and loving memories are her sons Gerald, and Elvis (Paula), grandchildren Julie (Sandy), David, Ian, Andrew (Deni), Matthew (Kelly), Matthew, Garrett (Caroline) Jeffrey, great children David, Wyatt, Logan, daughter-in-law Debbie, sister Alice (Clem), sisters-in-law Rachel, Veda, Hellen and Patsy and many nephews, nieces and friends.
The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses of the Dr. G.B. Cross Memorial Hospital for their great care for the short time she spent in the hospital.
Special thanks go to the staff of Cozy Quarters Personal Care Home for their kindness and loving care to her for the 17 years of being a resident there.
Cremation has taken place and visitation with be held on Tuesday, Sept. 29 from 2 to 4 pm at Fewer Funeral Home, Clarenville, NL.
Interment will be at Ramea at a later date.
