Mervie Adams November 24, 1936 - September 28, 2024

With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Mervie Laura Frances Adams, a devoted matriarch whose love and legacy will forever be cherished. Predeceased by husband Morley and son in law Doug Young, parents Cyril and Evalena Wiseman and brothers Tommy and Wilson.

Leaves to mourn son Geoff and daughter Sharon, grand-daughters Whitney and Kaitlynn and great grandson Luca, plus step grandchildren Kristin (James Sonfield-Jude and Eva) and Stefan (Stephane).  Sister Boyna and sister in law Barbara, nephews & nieces and a large circle of close friends.

Throughout her life, she found joy in nurturing her loving family, sharing laughter-filled camping trips with her growing grandchildren, tenderly cultivating her beloved garden and turning out fresh bakes from her kitchen.  Her community spirit shone through memberships in the UCW, Jubilee Guild/Women’s Institute, and quilting club, where many friendships blossomed. She also treasured time with her CIBC colleagues both before and after her retirement, as well as the comfort of her faithful feline companion, Chloe. Her warmth, generosity, and kindness touched countless lives, leaving an indelible mark on all who knew her.

Condolences to the family. Mrs Adams trained me as a teller at CIBC in 1984. I remember who saying “oh my you can call me Mervie now as we are coworkers’ but I respected her too much to do that. Rest in peace Mrs Adams!
