Passed peacefully away at her home in Lethbridge on Saturday, February 28, 2026 Marilyn Louise Brown of Lethbridge aged 74 years. Predeceased by her mother, Annie Ashford, father, John Hillier; step-father, Angus Ashford; sister, Jacqueline Humby; brother Wallace Hillier; ; step-sister, Vivian Slanley. Left with fond and loving memories her husband Oliver of 51 years. Her children, Sherry Russell (Lindurg Russell) of Lethbridge, Anne Marie Brown (Wayne Holloway) of Lethbridge, John Brown of St. John’s; grandchildren, Kayla Russell, Tara Russell, and Kyle Russell; sisters, Margaret Wells (Ken Wells) of Amherstville, ON, Holly Howse (Henry Howse), of Grand Bank, NL, step-sister, Lillian Abbott (Ernest Abbott) of Port au Bras, NL; brothers, Howard Hillier (Barbara Hillier) of Grand Bank, NL, Kevin Ashford (Barb Collier), Omemee, ON; special friend Doreen Crawley of Paradise, NL; and a large circle of family and friends. Resting at Fewer’s Funeral Home in Lethbridge on Monday, March 2, 2026 from 4:30-6:30 P.M. Funeral Service to take place from Heritage United Church Musgravetown on Wednesday, March 4, 2026 at 2:00 P.M. Interment to follow at the United Cemetery Musgravetown. In lieu of flowers donations in her memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation. The family would like to say a special thanks to her dedicated home care workers, Selina Holloway and Janice Wiseman for their care and compassion.

I think back to when I stayed at your house Marilyn, I was there when you broke your leg.
I remember going berry picking ….. shopping in Clarenville several times.
…. Going out for special meals, just plain relaxing etc.
When you came to St. John’s to visit John we’d always go to see a movie!
You loved movies! Shopping and eating …. was something that we did….
We had fun together!
