Lydia Ann Fewer May 5, 1931 - June 26, 2023

Passed away after a brief illness at Dr. G B Cross Memorial Hospital, Clarenville on Monday, June 26, 2023, Lydia Fewer of Clarenville, age 92 years.  Predeceased by parents Charles and Susie Critch; son Albert Jr.; Albert Sr., father of their children; son-in-law Tom Easton; daughters-in-law Clarice Fewer and Theresa Clouter; sisters Marjorie Hiscock (Gordon), Ida Adey (Charles) and Vickie Hodder (James); brother Robert Critch; great grandchildren Hope and Brooke.  Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories her children Robert (Darlene), Renee Easton and Michelle Holloway (Charles); grandchildren Debbie (Michael), Pam (Scott), Krissy (Donny), Jennifer, Tracy (Don), Natasha (Jay), Mary (Terrance), Perry (Aaron) and Michael (Maddie); great grandchildren Mitchell, Christopher, Abby, Allie, Grace, Victoria, Lucas, Josh, Abby, JoJo, Hannah, Claire and Terri-Lynn; sister-in-law Geraldine Critch; and a large circle of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.  Resting at Fewer’s Funeral Home, Clarenville on Wednesday, June 28 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. and Thursday, June 29 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.  Funeral service will take place at Fewer’s Memorial Chapel, Clarenville 11:00 a.m. on Friday, June 30, 2023 with interment to follow at Clarenville Interdenominational Cemetery.  In her memory flowers are gratefully accepted or donations may be made to Dr. G B Cross Memorial Hospital, Clarenville.

Funeral service details will be updated pending arrival of family members.

    Mrs. Fewer was a treasure. Her history within the Clarenville area is without compare as a pioneer of the senior’s movement. The Clarenville and Area Age-Friendly 50+ Club bestowed an Honourary Lifetime Membership upon her in June 2022. She will be missed.

    Bob, Renee, Michelle, and families,
    We are saddened to learn of Aunt Lillian’s passing. We have fond memories of her as we spent many childhood summer days with all of you, our cousins, at your house in Conception Harbour! She was always so pleasant and welcoming! May you be consoled by many precious memories of her. May God bless each of you and may she Rest in Peace!

    Sorry to hear about Mrs. Fewers passing. I remember her well, from the years working in Clarenville Emergency department, when she would accompany residents to the hospital from her home.
    My condolences to you all.

    So sorry to hear of Mrs. Fewers passing. I only met her a handful of times, once being in Gander where she was taking chelation. I was there with my parents, Arthur and Lena Goobie. I’m sure she’ll be missed tremendously. Condolences to the entire family.
