Louise Pelley February 1, 1920 - September 12, 2025

Passed away peacefully at Clarenville Retirement Centre, Clarenville on Friday, September 12, 2025, Hester Louise Pelley of Harcourt at the age of 105 years.

Predeceased by her husband Llewellyn and sister Myrtle Parsons.

Left to mourn with fond and loving memories are her nieces and nephews; and a large circle of friends.

Resting at Fewer’s Funeral Home, Clarenville.  Visitation on Saturday, September 13, 2025 from 7-9 p.m. and Sunday, September 14, 2025 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.  Funeral service 2:00 p.m. Monday, September 15, 2025 at Fewer’s Memorial Chapel, Clarenville with interment at the United Cemetery, Harcourt.

In lieu of flowers donations in her memory may be made to Clarenville Retirement Centre Recreation Fund.

All of us who were born in the Smiths Sound (Foster Point, Somerset and Harcourt area) will gladly admit we were recipients of her kindness, friendship and help in one way or another. A great lady. A wonderful Newfoundlander and one who will be missed by all. Take a minute and reflect.

    Louie’s relatives and friends please accept my deepest sympathy.. Growing up in Harcourt you had to be affected in one way or another by her sheer presence amongst us ,if it wasn’t sustaining our bodies through her store it was sustaining our souls through her leadership in the church and Sunday school Truly a remarkable lady. To this very day every time I see or hear an organ being played in church or otherwise Louie is always there. So many happy memories, Ones that I will cherish forever.     RIP to a great lady who was loved by everyone. I have fond memories of Louie as a child when I would go for a holiday to Harcourt. I remember her singing and playing the organ in church. My condolences to her family and friends. She will sure be missed!❤️
