Joyce Hiscock – Fewer's Funeral Home

HISCOCK, Joyce – Passed peacefully away at Dr. G B Cross Memorial Hospital, Clarenville on March 2, 2020, Joyce Hiscock of Deep Bight, aged 85 years. Predeceased by her grandson Brad; granddaughter Faith; daughter-in-law Violet Hiscock; brother Alfred Hiscock; sisters Annie Wells and Mary Green. Left with fond and loving memories her husband Gilbert of 69 years; children Calvin (Bev), Cynthia (Bob), Boyd (Judy), Corrina (Scott) and Carolyn (Richard); grandchildren Lorne (Lorna), Keith (Vanessa), Darrell (Amy), Natalie (Dave), Monica (Jeff), Loretta (Ken), Miranda (Kyle), Benjamin (Robin), Crystal, Sheena, Gavin, Kyle, Courtney (Carter), Grace and Maria; great grandchildren Jordan, Haven, Aaron, Jenna, Kelsey, Zachary, Holly, Chloe, Brooke, Faiven, Riley, Mackenzie, Poppy, Brady and Jacob; sister Ruby (Eric Adey); brother Gordon Hiscock and a large circle of family and friends. Resting at Fewer’s Funeral Home, Clarenville. Visitation hours are Wednesday, March 4 from 2-4 p.m. for family only, 7-9 p.m. for the public. Thursday, March 5 from 2-4 for the public and 7-9 p.m. for family only. Funeral service will take place at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, March 6, 2020 at Calvary Pentecostal Church, Clarenville with interment to follow at Clarenville Interdenominational Cemetery. In her memory flowers are gratefully accepted or donations may be made to a charity of ones choice.

Uncle Gilbert, Calvin, Cindy, Boyd, Corrina and Carolyn – what does one say at at time like this. Aunt Joyce was one who had a heart for Jesus, family and friends; loved beyond measure. Her home was always open to all and hospitality came naturally – tea and tea biscuits. I’m so sad she is gone, but she is enjoying a pain free life and a wonderful reunion. So glad we got to visit on our last visit home. Memories will sustain you in the days to come. Wish we could be there with you. Love to all.

Calvin, Cindy, Boyd, Corrina, Carolyn and Uncle Gilbert. So sorry to hear of the loss my dear Aunt Joyce. I remember when Mom (Annie) passed away I was heart broken thinking I would never see her again. Then I looked at Aunt Joyce and there was Mom smiling at me again. They looked so much alike every time I visited I would feel reunited with Mom again. She had that same loving smile that sweet mischievous grin and that shocking white beautiful full head of hair. I know that they are now reunited in Heaven with all the siblings and relatives that have passed before. Imagine seeing again the lost twins and the children Grandmother Hiscock lost over the years. While we that are left behind grieve over the loss of our wife, mother and Aunt I imagine in heaven they’re have the greatest Hiscock reunion ever.

I wish I was there to celebrate the wonderful full life Aunt Joyce enjoyed but business and school commitments prevent me from coming out. Til we meet again look after one another keep yourself in God’s good grace and above all remember Joyce is only sleeping until we see here again in the coming Kingdom of God.
