November 22, 2022 at 4:17 pmOur sincere condolences, to Bea and all the extended family. “Uncle Joe”, as we called him, always had a story or joke to tell. Looked forward to occasional visits when living in Gander, but after the move and Covid, doing that became more challenging. Will always remember his skill at most everything mechanical; a true craftsman. RIP Joe.

November 23, 2022 at 2:40 pmBea and family and all of my West/Wellon cousins, I am so sorry to have to say good-by to our Dear Uncle Joe. What a kind and gentle man he was. My memories of him go back to when I was a young girl when he would come to Deer Lake to visit us. The 5 of us would be so excited to see his “big “ shoes in the porch . He attended our weddings and celebrated the births of our children. As I grew older, whether I visited or spoke with him on the phone, I could always count on updates on most of my cousins. His ingenuity in the shed was a marvel and I even got to drive that tractor/snow plow when I visited one winter. As I am visiting my son in Alberta, I am so sorry that I can’t be there with you at this sad time. My condolences to all of you. Godspeed Uncle Joe.

I am so sorry to hear of Uncle Joe’s passing. He was the kindest man and I don’t think I ever seen him without a smile. I have many fond memories of him from growing up and will always remember how he would make me feel special and would always sneak some money to me in my hand as a kid. Heart of gold. Thinking about you all at this sad time. Rest in peace Uncle Joe. ❤️
