Joan Matthews March 4, 1950 - April 8, 2021

Matthews, Joan – Passed peacefully away at Dr. G. B. Cross Memorial Hospital, Clarenville on Thursday, April 8th 2021. Joan was the daughter of the late Jerry and Florence Barnes of Trouty. Joan is survived by her husband Everett; daughter Tammy (Philip); son Dwight (Jody); daughter Nancy; grandchildren Dylan, Jenna and sister Daisy. Visitation will be at Fewer’s Funeral home in Clarenville on Friday, April 9, 2021 and Saturday, April 10, 2021 by invitation only.  Funeral service will take place at Fewer’s Memorial Chapel, Clarenville on Sunday, April 11, 2021 by invitation only due to Covid restrictions.

    I was sad to hear of Joan’s passing. I hadn’t seen Joan in many years but will remember her smiles and easy laughter.
