James “Jimmy” Stanley December 13, 1935 - August 3, 2024

Passed peacefully away at the Golden Heights Manor in Bonavista on Saturday, August 3, 2024 James Stanley of Clarenville, aged 88 years. Predeceased by his parents, William and Minnie Stanley; parents-in-law, James and Florence Piercey; brothers, Bill, Ted (Louie), Warrick (Doris), Arthur (Millie), Walter (Nellie), Len (Irene); sister, Maude (John Summers); brothers-in-law, Merlin Piercey and George Dawson.  Left with fond and loving memories his wife Nellie of 65 years. His son Dennis; granddaughter, Melanie; great grandchildren, Madison, Jayden, Mikaila; sister, Inez Dawson; sister-in-law, Flo Loder; and a large circle of family and friends. Resting at Fewer’s Funeral Home in Clarenville, Tuesday, August 6, 2024 from 2-4 & 7-9 P.M. and Wednesday, August 7, 2024 from 2-4 & 7-9 P.M. Funeral service to take place on Thursday, August 8, 2024 at 2:00 P.M. from the Community Crossroads Church, Clarenville with interment to follow at the Pleasant Street Cemetery Clarenville. In lieu of flowers donations in his memory may be made to the Alzheimer’s Society.  The family would like to say a special thank you to the staff of the Golden Heights Manor in Bonavista for their care.  They would also like to thank Mr. Roger Desrosiers, Rowena Drodge, Pearl Alyward, Bonnie Drodge, and Bernice Drodge for all their help and support.  Although it is impossible to thank everyone individually you kindness has not gone unnoticed.

Funeral service to take place on Thursday, August 8, 2024 at 2:00 P.M. from the Community Crossroads Church, Clarenville with interment to follow at the Pleasant Street Cemetery Clarenville.

      Sending sincere condolences to neillie and all of extended family , Jim was more than a friend he was a huge part of our drodge family. We all loved him dearly , fly high with the angels , sadly missed and forever loved 💐

    Thoughts and prayers to Nellie and all the family during this very challenging time. Jim was our neighbour when we lived in Clarenville and was a blessing to our family. We certainly have fond memories of him.
