Passed peacefully away at the Dr. G. B. Cross Memorial Hospital in Clarenville, on Sunday, September 21, 2025 Ivar Balsom of Clarenville 82 years. Predeceased by parents, William and Effie (nee Baggs) Balsom; parents-in-law, Norman and Frances (nee Locke) Marsh; siblings, Darcie (Robert) Porter, Robert (Hilda) Balsom, Velmore (Margarite) Balsom, Billie Elfeney, Dawn Pardy, brother-in-law, Harry Pyrah, in-laws, Norman (Ruby) Locke, Max (Nina) Marsh, Pheobe (Leslie), Alf (Bonnie) Marsh, Wayne (Brenda) Marsh, Jim Marsh, Ruth (John), Alb; infants, Amy and Sarah Marsh. Left with fond and loving memories his wife Rowena. His step-daughter, Frances (Jamie); grandchildren, Brooke (Ryan), Spencer, Sierra; sisters, Yvonne Pyrah, Deena (Frank) Rowe, sisters-in-law, Catherine (Sis), Gloria, Lillian (Harold), Phyllis; brothers, Patrick (Lori), Joe, Rock, brother-in-law, Don Effiner, Spencer Pardy; and a large circle of family and friends to numerous to mention. As per Ivar’s wishes cremation will take place and there will be no service to follow. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Themdays Canada [email protected]. The family would like to thank the staff of the Dr. G. B. Cross Memorial Hospital for their wonderful care.
