Passed away peacefully at the Health Sciences Centre on Sunday, September 6, 2026, Hilda Mildred Vokey of Shoal Harbour, age 87 years.
Predeceased by her husband Frederick; parents Stanley “John” and Hilda Andrews; brothers Doug (Olive), Chesley (Pansy), Eric, Warrick (Mildred), Ernie (Effie); sister Violet Hiscock; stepmother Jessie Simmons Andrews; special sister-in-law Eleanor.
Left to mourn with fond and loving memories are her children Thelma (Terry) Fitzgerald; Donna (Neil) Greening; Shawn (Jackie), Sharon, Terry and Corinne; son-in-law Fraser Greening; grandchildren Renee, Danielle, Krystle, Megan, Cory, Charlene, Devan, Jordan, Sheldon, Shane, Hayley, Kryra and Erin; 12 great grandchildren; brother-in-law Calvin Hiscock; many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Resting at Fewer’s Funeral Home, Clarenville. Visitation Tuesday, September 8 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 9, 2026 at Fewer’s Memorial Chapel. Cremation will follow the service with interment to take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, any donations received will go to the Clarenville Legion – Local Branch 27.
